Instrumented complaint investigation

When a quality dispute requires measurement or reproducible laboratory testing, BIMEO can provide objective test results to support the technical investigation.

We primarily handle complaint cases that require laboratory testing or instrumental measurement. We do not provide consumer opinions based solely on visual inspection.

Since May 2024 we no longer carry out visual-inspection assessments for consumer complaints about individual products, a service we provided in Hungary. Where a complaint requires measurement or laboratory testing, instrumented complaint investigation remains available.

When is it the right tool?

• a batch or model fails repeatedly (delaminating soles, cracking leather, failing seams, discolouration);
• supplier and customer disagree whether the defect is manufacturing- or use-related, and measurement can answer the question;
• quality dropped after a supplier or material change, and the cause has to be supported by data;
• an insurance or contractual dispute needs an objective technical basis.

How we investigate

Depending on the failure pattern, the product undergoes mechanical, chemical and structural examination: bond-strength measurement, material and contaminant analysis, durability testing and comparison against reference samples. The aim is a measured, reproducible basis for the technical discussion — and, for manufacturers, for the corrective action that follows.

What you receive

A test report recording the method, the measured results and our technical assessment of the likely cause, as far as the results support one. It can be used in supplier discussions, contractual disputes and quality decisions: it supports the technical investigation, it does not decide the dispute.
