Privacy notice
This notice covers the data you provide through the forms on www.bimeo.hu (contact and quote request), and the cookies the site uses.
1. Data controller
| Name | BIMEO Testing and Research Ltd. (BIMEO Vizsgáló és Kutató-fejlesztő Kft.) |
| Registered seat | Kisfaludy u. 14, 1044 Budapest, Hungary |
| Company registration no. | 01-09-165164 |
| Tax no. | 10734537-2-41 |

2. What we collect, and why
You provide your name and e-mail address, and optionally your telephone number, company name and the text of your message. The quote form also records which product, standard or service you are asking about.
We additionally store the time of submission and the page you sent the form from — without these we could not answer sensibly.
Purpose: answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation. We use the data for nothing else, and send no marketing messages on the basis of it.
3. Legal basis
Your consent — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — given via the checkbox on the form. You may withdraw it at any time, without giving reasons, by writing to bimeo@bimeo.hu; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
If the enquiry leads to a contract, the basis for the processing that follows is performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b)), and for accounting records, compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
4. Retention
We keep your enquiry and our reply for two years from the last contact, then delete them. Where a contract follows, statutory retention periods apply to the contractual and accounting records.
5. Who has access
Only designated BIMEO staff. Our IT service provider acts as a data processor for the operation of the website and the customer portal, with access limited to what operation requires. We do not sell your data and do not transfer it outside the European Union.
6. Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, exercise the right to data portability, object to processing, and withdraw your consent.
Write to bimeo@bimeo.hu. We reply within one month at the latest.
7. Remedies
If you believe our processing infringes your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority or bring proceedings before a court.

8. Cookies and browser storage
This site stores as little as possible in your browser.
Visitor statistics — no cookies. Our statistics come from a self-hosted Plausible instance on BIMEO's own domain. It sets no cookies, does not identify you, and shares no data with an advertising network. That is why it keeps running whether or not you accept advertising cookies.
Advertising cookies — only with your consent. We use them to measure whether a Google Ads advert led to an enquiry. Every advertising storage category defaults to denied: nothing is written to your browser until you press Accept.
| Name | Type | Set when | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| – | – | every page | visitor statistics (Plausible, cookieless) | – |
bimeo-ads-consent | localStorage | when you answer the banner | remembers your choice so we do not ask again | until cleared |
bimeo-wizard-en | sessionStorage | when you use the quote wizard | lets the wizard resume where you left off | until the tab closes |
_gcl_au | cookie | only after you accept | Google Ads conversion measurement | approx. 90 days |
_gcl_ls | localStorage | only after you accept | supporting storage for Google Ads measurement | approx. 90 days |
_gcl_aw | cookie | only after you accept, and only if you arrived by clicking an advert | the advert-click identifier, used to attribute the conversion | approx. 90 days |
Withdrawing consent. Clear this site's stored data in your browser and reload the page — the banner reappears and you can choose again. Google cookies already set can be removed through your browser's cookie settings.
