BIMEO has been in the leather and footwear industry for over 70 years.
After its establishment in 1949, BIMEO operated as the central quality control institute for the domestic leather and footwear industry within the hungarian Leather Industry Research Institute. Since 1992, it has been operating in its current form as Bimeo Ltd. Bimeo became a notified body in 2005, expanding its activities to the certification of personal protective equipment.
Our aim is to provide assistance to companies operating in the leather and footwear industry in terms of quality, safety, and sustainability. We strive to promote the development and competitiveness of businesses in the industry as a reliable and recognized certification body.
